Before aesthetic medicine, I worked in acute and geriatric medicine. That shaped how I practise today: treatment is never superficial. It has to be grounded in anatomy, physiology and a real understanding of how the body changes with age, especially before and after the menopause.
I came into aesthetics because I kept seeing women leave other clinics looking different, but not necessarily better, and certainly not understood. So I opened my own clinic in Birchington to practise the way I was trained: examine first, listen properly, and only then decide whether to treat.
Most of my patients are over 50, and some are well into their 80s and 90s. Aesthetic medicine for mature faces is my special clinical interest, and it is the part of this field that is least well served.
The clinic began as TR Clinic and became Cosmetic Medicine in 2024. The name says what we are: medical care for your skin and face, not beauty treatments.
